April 27 Budget Update
I did three transactions at Jewel today, and then ran over to Meijers (because I forgot everything I needed at Jewel! Ha!).
1st Transaction
1 gallon Milk
6 Pam baking sprays
1 package M&Ms for Alyssa (the 2 year old!)
I had three $1/2 Pam coupons, a mixer tag for the milk, and used my $10 in Catalina's from yesterday. My total was .98 oop, and I earned another set of $10 in cats.
2nd Transaction
6 Marie Callendar meals/potpies
1 Hunt's Pudding
I had $1 coupons for the Marie Callendar items, and I used my previously earned $10 in cats. My total oop was 16¢, and I earned another set of $10.
3rd Transaction
1 package Toilet Paper
2 bags Lays Chips
6 two liter Sodas
1 box Mac & Cheese
I had a pasta tag for the mac & cheese, "salty snack" wine tags for the chips (I bought these at 30% or so value, as we go through chips quickly here), and six $1 wine tags on the soda. My total was $1.04 out of pocket.
Meijer
Ugh... $7.65 oop. For what? Nothing it seems. I bought lunch meat for the week, and I splurged, and allowed my two older kids to get a lunchable for dinner. They were $2 each!!!! But, it allowed me to not have to cook dinner, nor did I have any clean up. It was expensive, and I'll regret it when I update my budget. But, tonight, it was probably the best solution!

53¢ out of pocket! I needed hamburger buns and baked beans for our dinner. I had a Catalina from Walgreen's for $3.50, so my total was very low for items that rarely have coupons!
April 24
Con Agra is currently have a Catalina (a checkout coupon you receive for buying particular products), so I wanted to stop in and see what kinds of good deals I could get!
5 Hebrew National Hot Dogs

These are on sale for $3.50 each, so total cost was $17.50. I had five $1 coupons, and a pasta wine tag for the mac & cheese. My total was $8.99 oop, and I received $10 back in Catalina's.

As I seem to keep repeating, my kids are sick! Today my youngest - the one I thought just had a chest cold - was diagnosed with pneumonia! Fortunately, she saw the doctor early on, so she has medication, and doesn't have to be admitted to the hospital. But, while we waited on prescriptions, I did an impromptu shopping trip which resulted in a high out of pocket!
Thoughts and prayers for our family would be appreciated -- I need everyone, including myself, well again!!

I made one quick trip to Walgreens today! I returned and rented a redbox movie, picked up four packs of Mentos Gum (free w/ $1 coupons), and a gallon of milk. My total out of pocket was $2.76.

Budget Update April 19
Good afternoon! Well, as I stated yesterday, now my youngest daughter has the awful chest cold. We need some warmer weather and some dry air to help keep their allergies and asthma at bay!
I made two fairly quick trips today to take advantage of expiring coupons at Meijers, and double coupons at Kmart!
Meijers
10 Pillsubry Biscuits - on sale for $1.07, with $1 peelies!
2 Pillsbury Orange Sweet Rolls - on sale for $1.50, with $1 peelies!
2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudels - on sale for $2, with $1 peelies!
2 Pilsbury Toaster Scrambles - on sale for $2, with $1 peelies!
My total cost was just $5.92 for all of it!
Kmart
Our local Kmart is doubling coupons up to $2 this week. There wasn't a lot I wanted, but I did take advantage of a few things our family will certainly use!
2 bottles of V8 Fusion, Strawberry & Banana, Free after coupons
3 boxes of J&J brand band aids, 19¢ each after coupons
4 packages of J&J brand first aid tape, Free after coupons
1 dog bone for Paxton, our large lab mix! It was 99¢ after coupon. Spoiled, isn't he?!

1 bottle Renuzit Neutralizer, 39¢ after coupon
My total out of pocket was just $1.95 for everything!

Local News
Hi, everyone. I'm playing a bit of catch up. I can't seem to keep everyone healthy in this house -- once one child gets it, it goes full cycle, and we're on our second round of whatever it is that's going around! I've done a bit of shopping this month, but very low oop due to some gift cards I earned. I'll get it updated soon!

March 31 Budget Update
I did one last trip to Jewel to use up all of my "good" expireds. The rumor has been confirmed, and Jewel will no longer take expired coupons as of May 1! So, if you're holding on to any expired coupons that you know you want to use, this is the time!

2 two liters Grape Soda
2 Gold Peak Ice Teas
2 Propel Grape Water

After all of my coupons, my total was $3.45. $1.50 was tax! Although I went waaaay over my budget this month, I intend to be under for April since I bought so many things this last week that I wasn't anticipating buying!

March 30 Budget Update
This was my last trip to Jewel to use up all my "good" expireds! I bought so many items that I won't list them all, but I purchased 53 items in total, saved $28.47 with my preferred card, and saved an additional $81 with manufacturer coupons! My total out of pocket was just $3.27, and my total saved was $109.47!
